The launch of Hero MotoCorp Impulse 150 in Indian two-wheeler market
was considered as a bold step by Hero Group of India after termination
of its alliance with Honda Motors from Japan. And now again Hero MotoCorp Impulse is going to stun the bike riders by participating in Maruti Suzuki
Desert Storm Rally 2012. There are rumors that professional bike riders
are going to participate in the rally by riding this bike. This means
that this twin purpose after being proven as strong commuting bike will
have now to go for tough test ride in the terrains. The desert storm
rally will be a tough stamina exam for bike riders and vehicles, where
they will get to test their confidence while riding in sand dunes of
Thar desert to salty paths of Rann of Kutch. The rally will pass through
the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Thus, Impulse 150 will have an
opportunity to prove its strength while passing through the way of
almost 3,500 kilometers.
Hero MotoCorp Impulse 150 is designed on the platform Honda NXR BROS
150 motorcycle which is being run by Honda in two-wheeler market of
Brazil. Impulse 150 is enriched with 150cc four stroke engine similar to
one assembled in CBZ X-treme and Hunk.
This has made this bike the best commuting bike suitable for every kind
of riding conditions. Additional features adorned include 12 liters
fuel tank, front disc brake, drum brake, 5-speed
gear box and monoshock rear suspension. The bike is capable of
churning out the power of 13.8 bhp at 8000 rpm. Weighing 130 kilograms
Impulse 150 has ground clearance of 245mm. The front suspension has
clearance of 150mm. It is speculated that the successful performance of
Impulse 150 in Maruti Suzuki Storm Rally will undoubtedly play a major
role in strengthening the position of Hero MotoCorp Impulse 150 more
strongly in India two-wheeler market.
